Chapter 01
1:N
One person. N AI capabilities. July 2024 to now.
This is the story of a little over two years of building with AI, July 2024 to today.
It starts on a family trip to Los Angeles. I was running AI for oncology R&D at AstraZeneca and living outside Washington, DC. The catalog on this site holds 48 projects. This story follows 42 of them, the ones built with AI as a collaborator.
What came out of it: an enterprise agent platform that passed 1,000 users while I ran it and is reported near 10,000 now. Oncology models trained on a GPU in my office. A research engine that ran unattended for months and ended as a published paper. Trading agents, a book, and two blogs with 291 posts between them.
The conventional version of that list needs a team and a budget line. I had evenings, weekends, one good machine, and a growing set of AI collaborators.
Claude writes most of the code. Gemini makes the images. Other models research, vote and critique. I decide what gets built, review what comes back, and say no a lot.
In the middle of it I handed off the enterprise work and moved to Tempus. The method came with me.
The arithmetic is 1 human times N AI capabilities. What follows is the evidence. Ten chapters, 42 projects.
