What it is
Slopless is the anti-slop layer of the harness, packaged so other people can use it: a production-tested CLAUDE.md plus a set of rules that make Claude Code both write better code and stop producing the tells of machine-written text.
Three things it does
- Anti-slop writing system: banned words and constructions, register control, and structural rules that strip the LLM textures (the reaching metaphors, the rule-of-three rhythm, the hollow emphasis) out of generated prose
- Behavioral guidelines: the standing rules that shape how the agent works: verify before claiming done, incremental over full, ask before irreversible actions
- Model routing: which model to reach for by task type, so cheap work does not burn the expensive tier
It is the highest-starred of the public repos because the problem is universal: everyone running Claude Code hits the same wall of generic output, and this is a concrete, copy-able answer rather than advice to "prompt better."
