glyf

Self-hosted URL shortener on the edge

glyf.cc
domain

What it is

glyf is the small piece of infrastructure that every other project quietly leans on: a link shortener you actually own.

The Problem

Third-party shorteners go away, rate-limit, or sit on your click data. Once a brand routes meaningful traffic through someone else's domain, that is a dependency you cannot see.

The Build

Self-hosted Shlink on a Helsinki VPS, proxied through Cloudflare, with a command-line tool for minting links and a tailnet-only admin for managing them. Owned destinations go through one branded domain, glyf.cc.

Why It Matters

Short, stable, tracked links across the whole estate, with the analytics and the control staying in-house.
