MCP Server Collection
Social media automation via Model Context Protocol

What it is
The MCP Server Collection extends Claude's capabilities to social media, enabling AI-assisted content to flow directly from conversation to publication.
What is MCP
Model Context Protocol is Anthropic's standard for extending AI assistants with external tools. MCP servers expose capabilities that Claude can invoke directly during conversation.
The Servers
- Instagram MCP: Post images and carousels via Facebook Graph API
- LinkedIn MCP: Publish articles and posts to professional network
- X/Twitter MCP: Tweet and thread creation (API v2)
- Obsidian Search: Semantic search across knowledge base
- Gemini Image: Generate images with Google's Gemini
The Workflow
Instead of copying content between apps:
- Discuss content with Claude
- Claude drafts the post
- Claude publishes directly via MCP
- No context switching, no copy-paste
Technical Details
- TypeScript/Node.js implementation
- OAuth 2.0 authentication flows
- Rate limiting and error handling
- Secure credential storage in macOS Keychain
Why This Matters
The friction of social media publishing discourages sharing. By embedding publishing into the AI conversation, the friction drops to zero. Every insight can become a post with a single command.
Open Source
The servers are public on GitHub for others to use and extend. MCP is an emerging ecosystem, and shared tools accelerate adoption.
